Graymouse QAAs Level 2

Q: With the Internet and all, why are art search participants required to buy a physical book?

A: The reason for the physical copy is because holding a physical book is different from reading digital text. Presumably artists are in some sense in tune with the physical world, so there is definitely a need to hold a physical book ... turning the pages ... flipping back and forth as they visualize their own artistic creations. Jumping back and forth in digital text produces a totally different experience.

Q: In the various searches, what is the meaning of the terms in the Characteristic, Caption, and NewRow columns?

A: Artist: Whom ever has submitted the artwork. We simply attach the art to the AEDOK userId.

A: Group: Currently only one group, Artist Search 1, but we have many groups planned.

A: Nature: Not Mother Nature. It is the nature of the content. Currently only Artwork, but we have other planned, such as, Story.

A: Medium: The medium inwhich the Artist worked. Currently: Oil, Pen And Ink, Pencil (Black), Pencil (Color), Water Color, Crayon. As artwork arrives, we shall add appropriate medium.

A: Sytle: The sytle of presentation. Currently: 1pic, Multi Pic, Comic Strip. Again, as artwork arrives, we shall add appropriate styles.

A: Page: The page number from the reference material in Group. Since we currently have only Artist Search 1, that would be The Graymouse Family of Wainscot Street.

A: Date: The submission date of a given piece of art.

A: Caption: Whether or not to display the assiciated characteristic in the Caption of the individual piece of displayed art. The Caption may deleteriously affect spacing, and this allows you to control that.

A: NewRow: Whether or not to begin a new row when the assiciated characteristic changes value. See PicSize next.

Q: What are PicSize and Columns?

A: PicSize: The number of pixils wide to display the artwork pictures. By cordinating PicSize, Columns and NewRows, one can manipulate the positioning of the images for easy comparison.

A: Columns: The number of pictures to try to display per row. Your browser might fold before.
