©mem/acc num

Which we assign and is unique so we can follow the account thru time.

At any point through this time you have assigned to this member number a single primary email address. For your convenience, and no hindrance to us, you can change this primary email address at any time. Further for your convenience, and no hindrance to us, you can login using your primary email address.

As a consequence of this you never actually have to remember your account number, but at the same time we never actually care what is your email address. At all times there is a one-to-one relationship between the two, we have the account number we need for accounting, and you have the email address that you can easily remember.

When we initiate communication on issues not regarding your account but that you have authorized, said communication is sent to your primary email address. If it is regarding your account, it is sent to your secure inbox with notification to your primary email address so that you are timely advised.

When you communicate with us about your account, you first login, then use our secure communication facility linked to your account. And those secure responses are only available to you when you are logged in. So you can't get any fraudulent communications regarding your account (unless we were hacked bigtime). However, for your convenience you may contact Customer Support from any email address for general questions. And if a question touches upon your account, rather than responding in the adolescent and argumentative fashion which is common these days by saying you must first login and then re-explain the question, Customer Support will simply forward the question to Account Support as though you had sent it to Account Support yourself. An automated reply will be sent back to you at that time advising you of the forward, and Account Support will only send their answers to your secure inbox.

Please take the time to ponder the implications of this. First, this remarkably simple procedure totally eliminates your frustration at having to listen to someone say they, "We won't answer your question, ask somebody else." But second and most profound, is the fact that the amount of effort it would have taken to refuse to answer your question would have been greater than the amount of effort it takes for us to simply do a one-click-forward-email. So it is also less effort for us!

People with pitifully empty lives have been forwarding garbage email all around the world for decades, and yet we are the first to consider the idea that the concept of forwarding could actually be useful to our customers, even to our selves? Of course you say, "Not everyone who uses forward has a pitifully empty life." But that is not what was said. We challenge you to find one company before ours that has implemented the above procedure, which I reiterate, is not only convenient and less effott for you but convenient and less effort for us. Since, presumably, unless you cancel your account out of anger and frustration, you would in fact resubmit the question and we would therefore in fact have to answer it anyway! This speaks volumes on the barbaric state of our societies, and the ironic direction the world is going, whereby in the name of "for your security and protection" we are all tormented by contra productive procedures, inwhich by some amazing psychological process those involved in executing the procedures manage to see reason.

AEDOK Profile ItemsSummary

The detailed privacy status of each item in the profile is clearly laid out under that item's presentation. But here just for a general overview, noticed that there are certain logical constraints.

For example, a shipping address can't be confidential considering it might be necessary for us to provide it to a shipper, especially if we are not the supplier of the item you purchased. Two(2) more examples. A confidential phone number can't be made public and a public phone number can be made confidential since so doing would contradict its title.

Because we maintain these constraints, you can never be worried that confidential information may have inadvertently been 'checked' public. You would have had to deliberately enter that information into a public field.

So, to maintain your privacy, security and comfort of mind, simply use the proper fields for the proper functions. The small additional effort it takes to reenter information into a public field, rather than simply 'checking' it public, is well worth the additional peace of mind these days of knowing there is no possibility of inadvertent public display.

Those items marked as user selectable, default to confidential where possible (according to the logical constraints indicated above). Remember, once you have made them public, even though you can always change them back, the cat is out of the bag.

Finally under many circumstances you also have control over the extent of public exposure for public items. This control, though a powerful privacy filtering capability is not a guarantee of confidentiality. It merely aids in restricting unwanted communication and overhead.

Electromagnetic radiation, both light and electricity, travel at approximately 186,000 miles per second. The earth is approximately 24,000 miles in circumference. So unimpeded, an electronic signal could travel around the earth 7.75 times in a second. Which means that impeded by switching networks and various computer processes in between and controlling the networks your personal information once made public could go around the world in less than a second! Actually mind boggling if you ever take a walk (especially if you imagine carrying a flashlight).
